Fun With Gravity Through Art

Fun With Gravity Through Art

This week in Form 5 we studied Forces in Science. One of the forces we learned about was gravity. We decided to explore gravity during Art class. To do this we had to face some challenges. This involved placing a sheet of paper in our box, a marble and some paint. We had to try and balance our box so the marble would stay in the middle of our page. Next, we had to try and draw a cross on our page using the marble. Finally, we tried to roll the marble to form circles on our page. This proved very difficult but some of us managed to meet all the challenges.

We then added some different colour paints to our box, some different size marbles, and rolled the marbles through the paint to cover the sheet of paper. We really enjoyed this activity and learned a lot about gravity acting as a force.
