Sixth Class Service of Light Ceremony
Form 6 and Form 6.1 classes celebrated the Ceremony of Light on the 7th of February in Rathmines Church. The Ceremony of Light is a pre-Confirmation ceremony and is an important event in preparing the children for Confirmation.
A key part of the ceremony is when parents hand the lighted Baptismal candle to their child, acknowledging that their child is now ready to become a responsible Christian.
It was a beautiful ceremony and the boys were fabulous. We want to say a special thank you to David and Fr. Gus for their help in preparing the boys for the ceremony.
