On Friday, Form 6 explored the question ‘What is Cubism?’ They discovered it was invented by two young painters around 1907-08. The two painters mentioned were two 26-year-olds who wanted to represent reality in perspective-shifting new ways. They were Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso. Cubism brought different views of subjects together in the same picture, resulting in paintings that appear fragmented and abstracted. Below are the boys’ wonderful efforts at Cubism. Well done boys!
