A visit to Croke Park - Forms 3 and 3.1

On the 2nd of June, Forms 3 and 3.1 went on a school tour to Croke Park. The morning started with a hair raising walk on the rooftop walkway which is 17 stories high! The boys took in breath-taking panoramic views of Dublin, from the mountains to the sea. Our tour guide Conor pointed out a lot of landmarks and told us some of the history of the stadium, including the events of Bloody Sunday 1920. The boys then walked out on the platform suspended over the pitch. It was a little scary but everybody did it! We then had a tour of the dressing rooms and the warm up area where Mr. Agnew lead everyone in a warm up session. We then stopped for lunch and finished our tour with a visit to the museum where we saw the Sam Maguire Cup and the Liam McCarthy Cup. The boys also got the opportunity to try out their skills in the interactive gaming area. The boys really enjoyed their day out and had lots of fun too.
