Fine motor skills with Junior Infants

Our Junior Infants have been very busy over the last two weeks, developing their fine motor skills – an important step on their journey towards confident writing. Through a range of playful, hands-on activities, the children are strengthening the small muscles in their hands and improving their hand–eye coordination. Over the past few weeks, the boys have practiced tracing on whiteboards, worked on jigsaws, explored buttons and sorting activities and used tweezers to pick up pom poms. We are very proud of the hard work and enthusiasm our Junior Infants bring to each task - they are well on their way to becoming confident writers!
