Form 3 and 3.1 had a wonderful day out in Trinity College last week. The boys had a jampacked day.
First stop was a Stem Workshop facilitated by members of the AMBER research centre. This centre researches materials that will transform everyday products of the future, from mobile phones to knee implants, batteries to plastics.
After listening to a very interesting talk, the boys had the chance to work in groups investigating electrical circuits and conductors.
We then went to the Cricket Ground and had a picnic lunch and a run around the athletics track.
Having been sufficiently warmed up, we then headed to the Climbing Wall in the Sports Centre and scaled new heights!
Many thanks to Prof. Jo-Hanna Ivers, Ms. Murray, Mrs. McKenna and Ms. Kiernan for organising this fantastic day out!
