On Sunday, January 18th, thirty-three swimmers represented St. Mary’s College Junior School at the Leinster Minor Schools Championship in the National Aquatic Centre. There was fantastic swimming throughout the day, with many personal bests achieved and several medals won.
The boys brought home two silver medals in the 9–10-year-old medley and freestyle relays. They also earned a gold and a silver in the 11–12-year-old medley and freestyle relays respectively. A number of boys won individual medals in their events as well.
Well done to all the boys on their hard work, determination, and great team spirit. A big thank you also to Mr Sloan and to the swimmers’ parents for their support and encouragement. Well done, boys!
