This week, the Junior Infants have begun their exciting phonics journey! We started by learning the ‘s’ sound and then progressed to the ‘a’ sound.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, a new sound is introduced through a variety of fun and engaging activities. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the children take part in phonics stations where they get to practise their new sounds through activities such as tracing, fine-motor activities, playdough, colouring and much more.
The boys have really enjoyed exploring their new sounds and have been working so hard. They are already looking forward to discovering and learning lots more sounds in the weeks ahead! 🌟
