The year is 1777, General Burgoyne and his British troops ('The Redcoats') are fighting a very powerful and reinforced American army led by General Gates ('The blue shirts'). Form 5 and 5.1 re-enacted the Battle of Saratoga in which the Americans inflicted Britain's first defeat on American soil and was the turning point for America in the War for Independence.
