Junior Infants loved learning all about The Garda Station in Aistear and really enjoyed a surprise visit from a member of the Gardaí in school.
There were three stations in Aistear. One station focused on Role Play where some played the roles of members of the Gardaí and some boys had to give their fingerprints. Another station focused on Construction where the boys listed the rooms that you would find in a Garda Station and began building with blocks. The third station involved Play Doh and Arts and Crafts where the boys made the Garda symbol with playdoh and then coloured in the pictures. At the end of the week, a member of The Gardaí visited and told the Junior Infants about the different jobs they do and they really enjoyed seeing the Garda car. Have a look at the fun they had in the pictures!
