After-School Care
Recognising the need for after-school care, St. Mary’s College Junior School offers two options:
- A stay-back facility, whereby your son may stay in school from when class finishes at 2.45pm until 3.45pm. This service is for brothers of boys playing after-school sport. There is no charge for this facility.
- Homework Club commences at 2:45pm daily and children may stay until 6pm if required. This is payable by the hour, day or week.
Homework Club
During Homework Club, food is provided and children are supervised doing their homework. Once homework is completed, the children have time to play.
English reading and Irish reading should be completed at home. Although homework is supervised during Homework Club, we strongly recommend that all homework is checked at home. Homework journals are signed by a parent/guardian every evening.
Homework Club is not available on the Friday of midterm breaks and on the last day of every term (see school calendar).
All children attending Homework Club must be registered with Deirdre in the office - junsec@stmarys.ie. There is no drop-in service available.
