Fundraising
Fundraising is a very important part of school life in St. Mary's College Junior School.
A number of fundraising events are held throughout the school year including the Christmas Shoe-Box Appeal, the Annual Cake Sale and Jersey Days to raise money for various charities including Debra Ireland, Spirasi, St. Vincent De Paul and Trocaire.
The parents and boys play a vital role in ensuring that these events are successful and good fun too!
Integration Programme with St. Michael's House
For many years, St. Mary’s College Junior School has enjoyed a close relationship with St. Michael’s House Grosvenor Special National School in Leopardstown, Co. Dublin. St. Michael’s House provide education specifically for children with a moderate/severe intellectual disability.
Now that many Covid-19 restrictions have lifted, we are delighted to have been offered the opportunity to restart our integration programme with St. Michael’s House. The aim of this integration programme is to build relationships between children from the two schools, to give the children the opportunity to play and partake in various fun activities together.
Throughout the year, our boys visit St. Michael’s House on a number of occasions and we then host return visits in St. Mary’s College.
We are very thankful to our Form 3 teachers, Mary Rose Dalton and St. Michael’s House for facilitating this initiative.
